I am so sorry to disappoint you :-)

I have not seen that movie, but I know of it. I just happened to be in Bodega bay, and I took some pictures. This picture had 10 birds in it, hence ... but I could just lie and pretend it was intended ... hehe

How is it possible to get this focus shift "Straight from the camera"?

Curious to know ... if no PP, nicely done, if PP used, DNMC ...

I totally agree, this is so nice and clean, and who does not like a sky like that? (vampires or sunburned people maybe ...). This could have done nicely in the current 48-hour challenge ("straight from the camera"), assuming this had not been cropped ...

Hi Kacwood,

It is not so hard to do.

Lie in a pool where the water is calm - the calmer, the better. For best results, have a weight to keep you down, depending on your boyancy, both for comfort but also to avoid to stir the water by the movements you need to do to keep you down.

Lying on the bottom, face up, make a small, powerfull burst of air with a "round" mouth, like a trumpet player does (I played the trumpet for 5 years ... a long time ago). I found this by chance - don't ask how/why! - but I was amazed by these rings myself. I find it relaxing to lie still on the bottom of a pool, so I must have been really bored to figure this one out.

Let me know if you manage :-) even better, have someone take a photo of you and see if you can do it better than I did ...

Gee, Hong Kong is always like that, polluted air from the river delta industries ...

No, just kidding, I'll find it when I have better time ...

Edit: Better time, when is that?

So, see //www.dpchallenge.com/portfolio.php?USER_ID=60165&collection_id=15157 for the original ...
