Great composition and I like the broken spoke that 'allows' us to view across the paddle to the other wheel. Good textures and the color is nicely drab showing age. I'm not sure if it's low resolution, oversharpening or over contrast, or that the shot is 'too busy' but it just loses out on some 'wow'. Still it's a good image, I like it

The use of the editing filter has rendered this image somewhat like an abstract popart image. It doesnt really hold much interest to me.

Hrm, harp? I'm wondering about the composition - either you are shooting up and that's the perspective or you tried to do a diagonal. The image is fairly abstract and so the strength is with the geometric shapes. The lines are interesting but I dont think they have enough strength to capture the attention of the viewer for too long.

I like the texture of the burnt paper and I can see you have a slight edge glow too. Composition is good, nice color gradient to the flame. The repeated word paper isnt new but it works here, and it's almost like an anti-repeated word message. Nicely done.

Looks somewhat interesting, and even appears like you had a nice blue flame originally too. I'm not against digital art, but I think in a photography contest there should be more of a photograph. Sorry.

The composition is good, but I cant decide whether I like the burner being 'dirty' or not - it does add color and some texture. I think the abstractness of it may have been better without the kettle too. As for meeting the challenge - well it's not fire but is heat so I'll give it an out of the box vote.

The lighting seems to be too even with everything at the same illumination. The background seems to be lit too much and probably would have been better with it more in the shadow so the fire could stand out more and be more dramatic. The right hand seems to be 'out of shot' and so could potentially be doing something to create the flames, but I have to admit that it looks a little photoshopped. The welding mask is a neat touch.

I like this. Has a great mood with the coloration of the skates, good use of negative space, and good composition. The 'sparks' or fire adds interest and curiosity. Nicely captured!
