Taking a Breakby karenkComment: Neat! I don't know how long hummers rest, but it can't have been easy to spot one and take a picture of one without waiting forever. And that too in such nice light, and outdoors with all the wind. Amazing... |

Blue Mountainby jotagaComment: A snow-topped blue mountain, no less!
Good imagination and capture. I wish the water a bit more still for you - then it would be wall frame-worthy. As it is, I love the lines in the pic. |

On Guardby AllenPComment: A strong subject with a creamy background. The eye is fabulous and captures all the attention. Very nice!
The lighting's a little harsh though - it probably adds to the picture by making the bird look more like a predator than otherwise, but it's noticeable (especially the harsh shadow on the chin), and is therefore slightly distracting. |

Lightby kleskiComment: The part in focus is just plain amazing. I love the leading lines, the simple pattern and the delicate feel of the feather. The crisp reflection adds even more beauty. The out-of-focus back of the feather is highly distracting though. It appears unruly and contradicting everything the in-focus part stands for. |

Hexplosionby CoryComment: A fun riot of colors. The spiral blur achieved "In camera"? Or through post-processing? Either way, a nice little abstract. I wish the focal point was more along the rule-of-thirds though. |

Tranquil Morning in the Grasslandby wei1108Comment: Nice!
Might as well convert it into BW right? The subtle tones don't really add to the picture and are mildly distracting as it seems a little dull. Interesting that he appears to wear a uniform in a field?
An intriguing picture that makes me think and wonder what the story behind him is. |

Random Flowerby robertdComment: The processing is a bit too grungy for me for a flower shot. And I don't quite get the point of green color - might as well desaturate green to leave the flower alone? Also, the harsh light fails to show off the flower as a gentle thing of beauty. Love the petal textures that came out because of this processing though. Looks like I'm not getting your intent here :( |

The Colors of Summerby littlemavComment: Beautiful!
The natural colors, the smooth bokeh, the butterfly pose - they all work nicely together. Love it!
I wish it wasn't such a tight crop on the wing tips though, and that the aspect ratio is more traditional. |

summer nights (cottage country)by david_cComment: Phew! Stunning sky makes this shot. Very minimalistic. Not sure about the bottom rocks - they aren't enough to become the subject, but are just enough to be distracting from the sky (although they are nice enough in their own right). |

Eight Is Enoughby DCNUTTERComment: The harsh mid-day lighting makes the background water too busy for the ducks to stand out. Maybe selective desaturation/blurring of the water will help? Funny title :) |
