fool the viewer or make a fool of the viewer, decided you're going for the latter, I could be wrong but judging this based on all the other normal criteria. It's not a very strong image to me, nothing to really grab my attention or make me look longer at the picture. The repeated image distracts me even if there is a trick to be had by staring at it.

Came back and bumped this up as there's some mischievous humor and creativeness to the image.

well it's fake so I don't think I'm fooled. The mix of elements is OK but the image itself is not appealing to me, the colors just seem too fake and the illusion of ship is not believable

very nice, since I could read the name of the ship took a look at some other pics of it. Your edit makes this very dramatic looking. It does have that run aground look to it that makes it work well with the title
