Dec 18 - Sunriseby hajekaComment: This reminds me of my hometown, a mill town on the north coast of California. Seagulls and smokestacks go together naturally for me - especially with the overcast sky. The sunrise and snow (we rarely had snow) are bonuses. |

"And a cormorant in a pine treeeee" by MelonMusketeerComment: And Snowy Egrets, too! What a great capture. We have cormorants here that roost in the tall cypress and blue spruce. It never ceases to amaze me to see these large water birds heading for the treetops. They seem so awkward and ungraceful. |

Dec 17 - First snow of this winterby hajekaComment: This has such an industrial feel to it. It took me a while to get my perspective. I wouldn't have taken it for a ferry without the notes. The noise adds to the snowy effect. |
