I Like the simplicity of this portrait and the engaging, direct gaze but technically it looks like it's been compressed way too much (jpg artifacts) and softened to the point where detail has been lost. Lighting is very good imparting a bright and cheery mood. Wtih the exception of the above, this is a very well done portrait.
