Piercing Glareby xcharrierComment: Although casting the eyes in orange is an excellent idea and it works very well the overall orange hue to the rest of this portrait is just too much and overwhelms the image. This would be better if it were not orange or if only the eyes were orange. The feeling I get when viewing this image is that it was made orange simply to meet the challenge. Every image should stand alone on its own merit independent of the challenge it is entered in. |

A world in an orange bubbleby divernickComment: Please accept what I say for whatever it is worth. I see this image as having three main flaws. One, the main subject is neither centered nor placed according to the rule of thirds. This image is perfect for using that rule. Two, The background has too much uncorrected noise. Noise would normally be reduced. Three, I have no idea what the main subject is other than being a bubble. The bubble undoubtably has something interesting inside, but if the viewer cannot figure it out then the point is lost. |

orange lightby middelboschComment: You have a very beautiful young model and you captured a good expression and it has good tonal range. But if I did not know what the challenge is and looked at this image I would ask myself why you made it orange. An image must always stand on its own merit independent of the challenge in which it is entered. For me this would be a lot better if it were not orange. A different or detailess solid colored background (black, white, blue?) would also help it. |

Sunset in Bloomby linkybonComment: A greater depth of field on this image might be better for it. It meets the challenge well but the yellow to red colors are overwhelming to me and makes it seem artificial outside this challenge. |

spicy landscapeby miss parkerComment: The concept is excellent. The color contrasts of blue, yellow, green and reddish orange are very nice choices for this image. Generally it is too soft focused for my taste and could use a little noise reduction in the sky. The general overall lower quality of the image hurts it. |

Sunny Gerberaby cmberghoutComment: A very pretty flower. I would try to bring out more of the blue sky and saturate yellow and red about 15% to bring out more color in the flower. I'd give it a bit more brightness and contrast to make the flower stand out even more. |

Japanese Gardenby dharmesonComment: The left flower is well placed according to the rule of thirds but basically this is just an OK flower image. Suggestions for improvement: One, for best detail without overexposed areas as found in this image take flower pictures in shade or under overcast skies. The soft focus firn in front of the left flower distracts from the image. A touch blacker blacks would might make the flower stand out a bit more, but be careful not to lose detail in the image. |

White Nightby LouisonComment: This image perfectly conveys the solitude of that place and time. Very subtle greys. It is both soft with crisp detail at the same time. Amazing. Technically superior image. One of my top three choices for the challenge. Great job! |
