Comment:
Good subject, nicely cropped. I'd have saturated the reds and yellows as much as 40-60% (Maximum without noticeable oversaturation effects) with a little decreased brightness in the saturation to bring out more vibrant building colors and give it a more "New England" look.

Great perspective, color and tire composition. The image would be much improved without the truck.

Decent clarity and subject. Image would be better if far left distant background were cropped out of the image. It adds nothing to the composition but draws the eye away from the cart.

This was among my personal top three "best" images for this challenge. The other two finished 1st and 3rd. Voters were unusually subject in scoring in this challenge and likely did not take the time to understand how yours met the challenge. It is a fantastic image and you did a terrific job capturing and post processing it.

Terje... Congratulations on your first ribbon, and blue at that. Very creative approach. It was in my personal top three choices for this challenge as was your image "Crash in the night" from the motion blur challenge. Great job with both images.

David... Congratulations on another ribbon. Once again your terrific landscape sits near top of my favorites for a challenge. We have GOT to get together for that Northern AZ photo safari. It will be a blast. If you haven't already taken Antelope Canyon it is a possibility.

This is good use of the rule of thirds, but the overall quality of this image is not as high as it should be. Perhaps it is a combination of color and lighting, but the reeds detract from the image rather than support it. This image has great potential though.

This image has the hallmark of a snapshot. The main subject is not positioned to draw the viewers attention to it (like it would if placed according to the rule of thirds) and the white goose is overexposed. Overall clarity is not particularly good.

A simple crop could improve this image dramatically. Crop out almost everything above the distant gooses head and most everything to the right of the white goose, including the rightmost bird. There is nothing of interest in these areas. If you did a little more work to bring out detail in the overexposed areas and some judicious application of unsharp mask you could have yourself a nice shot.
