Pastoral Sceneby ShamanComment: Fair enough - answers to the challenge as I see it. I would prefer less colour saturation - probably just my taste - but the balance of composition is comfortable. 6 and counting... |

dreamscapeby tcmartinComment: Sharpness and bokeh in contrast - a fine idea. It seems to me (and I'm only guessing) that the petal on the left could use a) and edge and b) sharper internal structure to stop it coming over as a wealth of negative space.
E for effort? 6 |

Flock of Sheepby arnitComment: An exciting sky, a horizon that looks tilted (I'm sure it isn't) and a flock of sheep looking for all the world like a flock of sheep. I wonder how they do that. The sky's fantastic, but as a whole the picture comes over as a jumble of disparate elements. Bæææ. 5 |

Arrivals <> Departuresby pacpintoComment: It's a good picture in many ways, or at least as long as the people in are a sort of subject. As compositional elements they are too chaotic (and distract by being people). The verticals on the right and on the glass wall facing need to straighten up and fly right. It's a tough challenge to please. 5 |

ruralityby rhipsterComment: I think it's a subject. Very nice though. Have to give it at least five for the well-balanced composition. (Which has to be sort of what the challenge is about) |

Nail Polishby pamelasueComment: I've been thinking of marking down pictures that are too abstract and then along you come and ruin my strategy. This works. (It's all in the lines - he says, not really knowing what he's talking about...) 7 or 8 |

froglessby skewsmeComment: If I were mean(er) I'd say you gave it a subject with the title.
It's a beautiful shot though, with the bokeh sky etc. 8 and counting... |

Subject Disagreementby codauberComment: Fun shot and a good one too, but it's all about the things in it. That's entirely against what I think of as 'without subject'. 5 anyway, as it's good. |

River Rockby Dr.ConfuserComment: Think the haloes made it a bit static. Makes it by not depicting or focussing on a specific object, but lacks appeal as a whole picture. Damn it's close though... 6 |

Wood 'n' wireby WobbleComment: Nice shot/crop. Maybe takes the no subject thing to the point of self-effacement, but the form and the subdued colours are nice. 6 so far. |
