Tough photo to grade. It is certainly "holy" but doesn't give a real sense of a "place." Technically, very well done. As a still life I'd probably give a 6 or 7, but as a Holy Place I voted "5".

It took my kids to tell me that both people and even the dog are in step together. The b/w and grain makes it feel like a cloudy/foggy day at the beach. Nice mood. (I had you at "6").

Besides the coloring ("Purple Haze"), I think the image lacks a strong focal point or subject. Is this a picture of a house? A rock formation? The waves lapping at the beach? The abundant purple sky? It's a beautiful setting, but I think the picture is saying "Here's a picture of a pretty beach we saw on vacation." Where's the interest? What am I being asked to look at more closely?
