I can't say, why the shot didn't appeal to the voters, maybe they didn't appreciate the neatness of a swiss town.

But independent from the challenge - I think it is a real cool shot. The glaring sun, the long shadows, the two women in the otherwise empty narrow street. It has a very special feel to it, underlined by the black and white.

Nothing wasted here from your side, as far as I'm concerned.
