from technical aspect the shot is good. colours and sharpness are perfect and the composition is good. It's difficult for me find in the image something that is different from sporting reportage...I think that have few interesting.

Hi, I think that there are some problems in this image. The most important is that the image is too flat. It need more contrast(perhaps too much hard the light). From compositional aspect the pair of corns is too on the middle, a small movement on the left is better.

good still life. perhaps no many details in the plants......perhaps a simplest element was better. good the purple tonality(but i think that is build in postwork) a bit of noise. 8

Hi, the title of the image "Shape of the Nation" suggest me that the stars(and the stripes) are the geometry that you paint. there are some elements in this shot that is interesting to notice. I like the composition and the point of view, good use of the DOF. With this image you play on the DOF, the composition and the patriotism (I think that if was possible to read your comment during the votation the rating was higher but can you explain me what means UVa?): It's evident the emotive content of the image but don't work for a contest where the title is geometry.

Hi, many users tell that this image don't work for the contest and I think same thing. There isn't connection with chemistry. I think that with a minimum post work you can have a good image, the tree on the right and the pole on the middle are distacting .
