The Openerby rinacComment: 5.8! Not too shabby! I paused on this image during voting because of the brightness and the soft focus. I was attracted to both (as well the fantastic green). Gives it a sort of "Field of Dreams" feel. Cricket is not that big in the USA so I'm not sure what cricket fans are like but if they are anything like our baseball fans then I think the soft focus perfectly depicts the ethereal image of the game & the players that the true fan seems to have. Anyway, those were my thoughts during voting. 7 from me. |

• Voyager •by Bear_MusicComment: Jeepers, you're stressing me out just looking at this! : ) This man looks like someone who has lost everything dear to him - all is long gone. The crop adds to the mood - no mouth so he's silenced - nothing left to say - and it feels tight like he's caged. Nice detail and shots (like yours) that demand some sort of emotional response from the viewer are truly art IMO. Back to bump you up to 8. |

Ice Princessby JedusiComment: I like the tones in this shot. She looks slightly blue but that is fitting for an "ice princess" after all. Nice colors & great eyes. I'm not sure about the fuzzy texture of the purple and my eyes don't care for the distracting heavy black border on this more subtle feeling shot. All just subjective nits. A very nice portrait and I'm back to bump you up to 8. Well done. |

Seriously Sixby levyj413Comment: My favorite of the challenge. I sure hope to see this on ribbon row tomorrow morning. Fantastic colors. Engaging facial expression on a lovely model. Beautifully edited - still feels very natural. Back to bump you up to a rare 10 from me. Adding to favorites. Well done! |

Circle of Longing: Tacloban Slum, Philippinesby hotpastaComment: Yeah possibly a tad stronger but not by miles. They are both powerful, beautiful, and haunting images. I couldn't tell you if this one would score better than the other. IMO they both should be 6.9 to 7.3. Well done! |
