I like your concept but the composition could be better. The tree on the right adds nothing to the image so if you had cropped and utilized more of the view behind the trees then I think it would have improved the image. Maybe you could have used the small stone wall as leading lines towards the tree or actually stood on it to get more of the ruins.

That's a very cute guy!! I think a centered image would have more impact but it's obviously hard to make him pose and the lines in the back are slightly distracting.

I like the light in the image but I see a gorgeous view in the background and wonder why you've chosen not to make it the subject or at least position yourself higher so it's more visible. The bushes do frame the view nicely but the perspective would work better if the path led somewhere.
