This is very powerful, but I think the vignette is heavy handed. I'm not sure it was needed! I love the subject and composition. The contrail looks like an abstract laundry line!

Just say no! You don't need to mow the lawn, rake the leaves, and wash the car on Saturday! Be your own man, just say no! (...and watch that kid before he gets squashed by a car!)If the you child is the subject, he is too far left in the composition. The adults are the subject in this composition.

I like the grungy tone of the image. Overall, I just don't get the story you are trying to express based on the title.
I'll be interested to read the details and what marina constitutes a suburb. I wish my suburb had a marina!
