penitentby whiteroomComment: Some people might not see being penitent as related to being fallen but it really does work. The pose with him looking up is perfect. Being advanced editing I will say that the spot in his right eye might have been cloned out as it is a bit distracting. The crop works for me and I love the contrast a lot. Overall a very engaging and emotional image. |

final resting placeby fisheyeComment: Neat contrast between the rustic foreground and the modern background - for some reason I think it really works! |

Memory of an angelby Rino63Comment: Aside from a tiny bit too much noise for my tastes I LOVE LOVE LOVE this. I think it's a great interpretation of the challenge - your title helps tie it together but it also works visually, not solely reliant on the title - the composition is great, the colors are superb, and finally (and what a lot of people don't seem to understand is so important about kinetic shots like this) your contrast is superb. Very well done! |

Last Flightby HaneckComment: Awwwww. This is processed SO beautifully. I was thinking about this challenge a bit ago and how my mother had given me a dead butterfly so that I could use it as a photo prop if it ever came up. I kept it in a container for a while but when I moved I didn't take it, and I felt bad that I didn't have it available to use for this challenge.... But I feel better now, because seeing your butterfly shot is so surpassing what I would have done! :-
The surreal yellow/green colors in the butterfly and the background are just so gorgeous and the contrast is dramatic and emotional. Great job. |
