Guardianby rhungComment: Alot of amazing shots in this challenge, but this by far is the best straight forward portrait out there. No photoshop tricks (at least that I can tell) and no funny gimmicks. Just an outstanding shot and my top pick of the challenge. Bumping up to a 10. Your family will treasure this forever - beautiful. |

Great shot Deb - gave this one an 8. Funky background could have used a little less noise - but the shot overall has a great fantasy feel to it. Just looks cool. Well done and its always great to have a new pic in your top rated lineup. |

I liked this shot. I was one of the few I guess that had no problem with the subjects not looking at the camera. The B&W works pretty well although I would like to see a version with some color - even if it was just a light saturation. Good focus and detail. Overall though you have a nice shot. |

Ha! Ha! You Lose!by tngrndreamComment: Trading Post -
I gave a 4 on this one. The focus seems really bad on this shot. Did you use a tripod? The background needs som ework as well. I think if you had gone with one color and laid the fabric out so that it didnt have a right angle but a nice soft curve up it would have helped alot. An interesting concept I guess, but not enough to carry it higher. This shot just didnt capture my attention like it could have. |

I gave a 5 on this shot. You definitley met the challenge and it was niec to see some different props and a different take on the challenge. But overall the shot just didnt work for me. The crop seems a bit weird with the steamer being cut off. The colors are a bit too orange and the glass bricks are ditsracting - they dont really ad dmuch. I think what would have been nice is seeing these items arranged on a solid piece of red fabric or something to allow them to stand out better without haveing to deal with the bricks or the table underneath. A good idea to start with - better execution would have scored you much higher. |

This was probably attacked hard for DNMC. I believe I scored it lower for that reason myself. Overall the shot did not really appeal to me. The brightness of the sky seems to take away from the colors on the flowers. They just arent vibrant enough. As a general flower shot I think I would have liked to have seen a bit further down the stems and a bit less sky. |

Looking through the mirror...by KelliComment: Trading Post -
I think your subject matter suited the challenge quite well. But it looks like a quick snapshot rather than a proper portrait. A bit too blurry overall. That really is the primary issue with this shot. Colors could have been a bit more vibrant as well. |

Ang & Rob 3by MakkaComment: Great shot and editing work. I am getting ready to shoot my first wedding this weekend for my sister. I love the layout and the progression of the shots. Really well done. Maybe making the outside borders of the 3 inside shots soft may have looked nice. Just a small maybe - this works great overall. |
