Three in a Rowby sherpetComment: Another great flower pic Shez. The lighting may be a tad harsh (blown out just a bit onthe top of the middle flower) and the shadows behind are a bit strong. I think Art has it right on how to correct that. But you do take great plantlife shots. |

Well, she was just seventeen, You know what I mean, And the way she looked was way beyond compare.by KelliComment: Trading Post -
I voted late on this challenge so I never saw this shot. I will leave the spotlight issue alone. Overall the focus is a bit too soft. Her arm is blown out pretty bad and the lighting on her face seems a bit harsh. She seems a bit off centered but not quite enough. She looks a bit angry, like I wouldnt want to cross her at that moment. I probably would have scored this a 5 if I had the chance. I hope this didnt com e off too harsh - just my lowly opinion. |

Now here is a much better shot. Good idea and much better execution. A little bit grainy - lowering ISO could have helped - but a minimal issue. The colors are nice and warm and the the shadow behind works very well. Maybe a slightly different angle on woody would have given more interest in the shadow behind. I like the negative space up top. Congrats on a new personal best. I didnt vote in this challenge but I would have probably given this at least a 6 if not a 7. |

Looks like you are starting to play around a bit more with your postprocessing. The shot has a very odd feel to it. A bit overprocessed that makes it almost feel like it is moving. Possibly oversharpened or a bit much contrast. I think the log cabin fit the challenge well and in a welcome different way, but PP hurt it bad. |

Sorry for being so behind. I gave you a 4 on this one. Alot of noise and lack of sharpness gave it a poor feel. I think the long shutter speed didn't help much with that. A quick peek below at some of the other comments and most are pretty dead on I believe. Execution needs to be tweaked to get the higher scores. Playing around with differetn settings to see what comes up could be ab ig benefit. |

..., 15,16,17, ... by SherwinJamesComment: I have this picked as my winner. Great shot, great post processing. Hopefully she will look back in years to come and know that her suffering got you a virtual ribbon (for what thats worth). Well done and good luck. Bumping up. |
