Me Myself and I by terjeComment: I know I have seen this shot around but I can't seem to place it. Doesn't matter as I can't imagine the original being any better than this. Phenomenal shot and I expect to see this one up high in the ranks. WEll done and bumping up.
Edit - bumping up one more time. |

Child in Nature ~ Mirrors Redux by jenesisComment: Beautiful shot. Great tones, beautiful focus and just laid out well. I will searchout the original on this one. I would love to have a shot of my child like this. Well done and good luck.
Edit - This should be the blue in my opinion. I think its a marked improvement on the original and beyond that just an awesome shot. Frame this shot and keep it forever and ever. Not just bumping up but bumping up 2. You get my only 10. |

Defined Eleganceby radioeffectComment: Greetings from the Critique Club -
Welcome to DPC and congrats on a great first entry. I dont think the lighting is harsh at all. It highlights the tips well and gives great shadows deeper within the flower. You captured good detail overall and you met the challenge requirements with flying colors (or lack there of).
The water droplet seems a bit out of place. It is quite pronounced and all alone with no other droplets to be seen. The black and white treatment is great. Might be interesting to see a lightly colored version but I dont think I would have changed it for this challenge.
I personally like the negative space on the left and I have no problem with the border. You have a great first pic entered here. Your score seems about right and you just cant complain about a top 40 your first time around. Congratulations and I look forward to seeing what else you have to offer. Good luck in the future.

Icyby StructorComment: You do some amazing work (but your Icelandic so what else should I expect). Great colors in this one. I love all your landscape type shots but this one stood out for me. The reflection is awesome. Excellent work. |

Open Spaceby PhilComment: I like this shot. Excellent color gradient and I personally like the open space. The lack of any minute detail just brings out the silhouette and the color even more. Very strong shot. Would be cool as a print. |

"Got Seed?"by ShutterPugComment: You just need another wildlife challenge to come up dont you. I bet you would get alot of DNMC saying that you took this at the zoo. Funny shot and a great capture of the gaze in your direction. Kind of like he is taunting you. "Yeah - I see you seeing me. Whatcha gonna do about it?" |

Tennis Anyone?by island_girl1Comment: When I opened your profile looking at the thumbnail of this shot I figured I was going to open up something that was really blurry or bad technically considering the score. But when I opened it I thought it was a really well done shot. Then I see its just a victim of DNMC. Which I agree that it didnt really meet the criteria. But beyond that this is agreat and humorous shot. Excellent focus, I like the crop and it just makes me wonder how he got there and why that ball isnt rolling over on him. Would have scored a ton higher in a different challenge (unless it was a sel portrait challenge then probably not). |

Hpnotiq Blue II -- TAKE TWOby BosborneComment: I knew I had seen thisone around - just wasnt sure whose it was. This is the better shot of the two. I liek the darker blue color and whatever the thing in the background is (a bottle maybe?) gives the shot a much better balance. You can just barely see it in the original. This works much better. I expect to see a higher score on this one. Good job. |
