I dont know if it my monitor or just the editing, but your colors seem a bit flat. My personal desire with food (especially with a summer theme) is for vibrancy in color and light. I gave this a 7 - but with a tweak in color and light to make it pop more it would have scored higher.

When I think of the challenge name the first thing that come to mind is fresh bright color. Then i come across this image. It caught me off guard. Pleasantly unexpected and perfect for the challenge. I love all of the components - clean b&w, every part is in it's place with nothing overlapping, simplicity, great natural light - and all topped off with the window being open. My choice for red in this challenge.

This looks like a combination of a hotpasta type meal and a hotpasta type photograph. My top choice for the challenge. Great looking plate of food (man I do love fresh figs) and a pleasing arrangement.

Not digging the editing on this one. The tonemapping (or whatever tool that was used) has just left it all a muddled drab gray. Just doesnt do it for me. Cool location though. No vote - just commenting.
