An excellent photo! Very arresting, esp. when opened up to full size. The composition as well as the contrast between the two people is ideal. And the fact that the face of the mother is completely covered by the little girl's, with no detail showing at all, really really adds to the picture. Great job!

It's a good idea, but as it stands, needs improvement. The right side is just a scattering of grains with no apparent form; it might have helped to try to get a pattern to the throw. Also the B&W processing is lacklustre... the vast amount of grey in the picture makes it look a little flat.

To the beach

Very sharp, great detail and color! However, there isn't a clear form in the picture, and also everything is the subject, so the eye really doesn't know where to settle... perhaps zooming out and getting just one of these, with the sand, will lead to a better picture form-wise.

Salt N' Peppa

Definitely a nice idea. A couple of things though. The purpose of the glass in the picture is not clear at all. Also, it has some _very_ hot spots, which draw enough attention to it to make it the subject. Also, the salt and pepper are not sharply focused on. I'd suggest reshooting with the glass removed, and focus on the salt and pepper. The colors are nice.

Very very well done picture. The tip of the pencil and the grains flying out in a circular pattern have made a very visually arresting picture. I really like the fact that you chose not to do a standard rule of thirds placement with this one. Good job !
