Wow, i did a double take, well a double click really, on this shot.
It's fantastic. I love the softness and selective sharpness on the gates, it just has a feel to it, an atmosphere.
With the black borders top and bottom it gives it a cinematic quality, like from an old western almost. It makes it timeless.
Really love the wide angle aswell.
After my first look this shot just seems to have more and more.
I'm very impressed.

It's the cropping that's so intricate, most people would have cropped in further.

Lighting is fantastic, highlighting exactly what needs it.
The tone of the image, i'm sure there is a slight colour cast in there somewhere, so subtly.
It's perfect, absolutely perfect. It gives it a sharp, strong impact.
I can't tell you how impressive this photo is.
I'd love to be able to recreate the b/w effect, but it's the lighting that really makes this shot, as is with most shots.

White the tight crop and subject don't necessarily instantly appeal to me i do like the shot.

Very nice.
I would normally say it needs a little bit more contrast in the mid and upper sections of the photo but this gives it an almost dreamy effect.
