I didn't vote in this challenge since I submitted an entry, but I like this image, especially the focus on the eye. Nice photograph.

This was also my first challenge and I didn't do so well either. Since I entered a picture, I didn't think that I should vote. However, if I had, I would have scored this a lot higher than most of these people. I thought it was kind of a cool image.

I'm surprised by your score. I thought this was a really smart and creative image. I thought it would do better. Democracy's a weird thing. Regardless, it is a great picture.

This is a wonderful photograph. I especially like how you allow the lines of the sediment formation to dictate the orientation of the image and the small fragment of stone in the foreground is just enough of a disruption to add character to the image. I wonder whether the image might be improved by cropping out the patch of sky in the upper right corner - just a thought. As for the color, did you do any processing or is this the original image?

This is a great shot. The commitment to b/w really allows the lines of the image to communicate everything. Really terrific photograph. Where was this taken?
