I think this is more of a snap shot pose rather than something you set up. The lighting is a little off and the image is a bit under exposed. You have a pretty dog but with the use of unsharp mask you could have brought out some of those natural details. Also when you're looking thru the view finder make sure there is nothing in your BG that would distract your photos. There is a small shadow on the far left side that is leaking on to your image.

Just another day at the office,How cute. Good job with setting up the dog but watch the shadows on the back side. A small fill light would have been very useful here.

The light from the windows on the bed is a bit distracting and makes me want to look there. I think by taking that out of the mix and maybe adding some contrast would really bring this to life. Also when shooting just about the whole subject very rarely do you want to chop off something as small as a couple of toe nails. You should watch that in the future.

Do you see the "eye" in the sky? Very cool image but really it looks like God is looking at you. It might be your reflection but still kinda scary and neat at the same time.
