Toweringby APComment: "Just another.." - not quite. About the best recent shot I've seen by virtue of the sky. It's been a good one recently. That 10-22 does the job. |

by KirkMcGirtComment: Hard chisels carve hard lines. Certainly you must have the gift of the gab to work with some of these characters that you shoot. An interesting insight into human character. |

IMG_1863.jpgby JibComment: How about cropping relentlessly? and removing the distractions? You can do this by framing and at the point of shooting rather than doing a major makeover in Photoshop. But Photoshop can help you bring out this poignant introspective moment. I tried something with your file:

cat.jpgby Icechamp2001Comment: Your photos are either a phase you're going through or art. I am still trying to determine which. A friend of mine who runs a book collectors shop recently showed me a very expensive book of photographs by (I forget). The photos are of the arctic and almost all are exceedingly dark - almost pure black. Only the smallest amount of detail being revealed by long scrutiny. This photographer is, apparently, famous for his work. If it had not been for that little lesson at the bookstore, I would have simply dismissed your dark photos as being rather effete.
