That wire is quite a symbol in photo-art. Wire and children - some sort of link. All the schools in NYC are surrounded by wire. Can't help but notice how much it looks like prison.

Shunned, ignored, and despised all come to mind. But desolation is further down the top-of-the-mind list. An advertizing company exec would not say this is desolation, if he or she had contracted you to take a photo to depict or evoke feelings of desolation. I would say it is a nice photo well composed, though. 8.

Nice bokeh but the subject does not have a lot of presence except for it being fresh, unmarred green. Turning it upside down might have added something to the feel. Of having a tree branch from the upper right corner...

Simplicity

Nice definition on the dragonfly and overall the bokeh is of pleasant colour. It's certainly a hard call, but I would have been tempted to frame or crop this image in a different way, latitude allowing. The bottom of the photo gives the nice orange colour. If only the bokeh was a little more concentrated in effect up towards the top.
