Nice illustration. I like the location a lot. But the cut out hand coming out of the frame is a cheap visual trick which degrades the art.

Without the horses, the photo would be that much more desolate looking. A little decrease in the saturation would make for a more believable image.

Famine

The image catches my eye. But the symbolism is inaccurate. Famine bespeaks complete lack of food due to conditions in which the corn would shrivel at the stalk. The corn pictured is clearly healthy and providing of sustenance. So famine is an inappropriate title. Perhaps something like Bush Fire might work better. As I said to start with, it is a captivating photo though.
