Greetings from the Critique Club!

Great use of DOF... very nicely done... the flower is very much in focus, and the composition is perfect because of the leaf. The part that bothers me about this photo is the distracting background... especially the red flowers behind it, draw your eye away from the main subject. The are competing with the soft pink of the flower and making the photo look more harsh with the red. You might have tried different angles to further isolate your subject. Very good with the lighting... very pretty and three d looking. Excellent job of picking out the one flower and getting rid of all the rest behind it. Nice photo... no real oomph, but it's pretty. Good luck with your future entries!

Compromise

I'm not sure whether it's compression or really your focus, but all of the photos look blurry. Cute subject... but not really interesting... I also don't care for the color or the layout... try getting down on the cats level... really get in it's face. Go for bigger photos, and don't use so much border.
