National Geographicby InnaNComment: It's too bad the subject looks slightly out of focus, this really could have been great. I like the subject here, could definitely fit on National Geographic, although I feel shooting down was not the best way to capture this... I think that getting down and shooting up might have been more effectual for this shot. Just my opinion though. Great subject for the challenge. |

National Geographicby pncowleyComment: The yellow looks very off on this, not at all the color NG uses, this looks more orange less yellow. The photo is nice, not overly fantastic though, I'm not sure it's NG quality. It leaves room for type though which is good. |

Country Gardening And Landscapesby djmskiComment: Personally I do not consider magazines to be in a horizontal shape... thats just me though. Now if this were for a smell challenge, you'd get my top vote ;-) I love lilacs... ummm... I can totally smell them now. I'm not sure this fits a magazine cover though... just my opinion... it's a nice photo, although I think I would have cropped it differently for maximum effect. Just my opinion though. |

Jackson Perkins Rose Catalogby kavamamaComment: Question... is a catalog a magazine? I'm just curious this is not meant to be offensive. I guess I think of magazines as something informational or entertainment, and usually not specifically trying to sell something. thats what I think though. Your photo is nice, not spectacular but nice. I would have liked some different lighting so that you got more vibrant colors and made the flower pop a bit more. wow those thorns look nasty! |

'Surfing Life'by RobroComment: Personally I do not consider magazines to be in a horizontal shape... thats just me though. I wish this was on a bigger wave, I personally don't think that a magazine would use this photo because it's not a spectacular wave, he's barely surfing anything... Also I think that he's not as sharp as he could be, but maybe thats just my eyes... |

International Glass Reviewby JakComment: Cool... I could definitely see this on the front of a magazine of that name. I don't think that the border was necessary, I don't think most magazines have borders. This is an awesome building. Where's it located... Chicago? Nicely done... but almost too much border which ddetracts from the photo. Just my opinion though. |

The Edge of Eternityby dasein06Comment: Personally I do not consider magazines to be in a horizontal shape... thats just me though. What is the edge of eternity magazine? Not sure what it's about and can't find it on Yahoo. I'm not doubting that it is indeed a magazine but I have no reason to know what the magazine is about and if your photo does indeed fit for the magazine. Sorry. |

Star Light Expressby donpramComment: Personally I do not consider magazines to be in a horizontal shape... thats just me though. I have no clue what the theme of Star Light Express Magazine is... I can't seem to find it on Yahoo. I'm not doubting that it's a real magazine, it's just I have no way to judge whether your photo would be good for the cover or not. Sorry. |

Soccer Monthly - we let the cat out of the bag on goal scoring secretsby wahooComment: Personally I do not consider magazines to be in a horizontal shape... thats just me though. I think that the point was to make a photo that fit a magazine, not a magazine and subject that fit a photo, IMHO... this is cute... but I think without your "we let the cat out of the bag..." part, this would not have made much sense, and would have been just a pointless ruse to photograph yet another pet. Sorry to be harsh, but if you had wanted to use your cat, I would have gone with some type of a cat magazine. The harsh lighting and shadow on this is rather bothersome... and I don't think this would work as a cover. |
