spider_eats_waspby TMStampComment: Unfortunately, access further in front of the spider was impossible due to a brick wall in the way. That would certainly have been a wonderful shot. On the other hand, you do see the thick mandibles plunged into the abdomen of the wasp from this angle.

collanaby primabarbaraComment: I really like the composition and lighting of this piece. I wish the DoF had been a tad wider and the focus slightly closer. |

Thitherby markwileyComment: The colors and subtle blurring is lovely and well executed. The composition is great too!
For a reason unbeknownst to me, I'm thrown off by the differing shorelines on each side of the retaining wall...
Congrats on your ribbon! |

Tear Gasby OzComment: This is the best and most evocative entry. The B&W, the slight motion blur really immerse the viewer and make him feel the moment of tension and anxiety.
10 for me! |

A Piece of Meby RamblinRComment: There's no doubt in my mind that this is my favourite!
The reason I'm not giving it a ten...? The floating puzzle piece could have a smoother and more solid cutout like the other pieces.
Great job! |

Traditional eleganceby LandzEncaComment: Wonderful colors! The only thing distracting to my eyes, is the white of the chair, which breaks the warm feel.
Congratulations! |

Belly Dancer on the floor...by lobrinComment: Everything is great in this picture (colors, make-up, concept), except for one thing... The composition feels off.
If the intention of the photo was to highlight the interaction between the woman and the butterfly, the composition does it even less justice.
My eyes are drawn towards the bottom right where the strong and contrasting pink color is.
Still, the lighting, contrast, and exposure is spot on! |

The Arkby gyabanComment: We have a similar looking sight in Quebec, Canada, in the Gaspésie region. It's called Rocher Percé.
Beautiful shot! Very creative composition!
