Comment:
main light obviously doesn't come from back but from top front

Comment:
don't see how this is shallow DOF (might be your intense sharpening)

Centered Composition | Leading Lines | Low Key

Comment:
definitely not low key, and, as the viewers focus is lead to the tip of the sharpie, not really centered composition. technically well done, though

a bit too much blown on left side for my taste, other than that great portrait. ribboner, if you asked me

well done, though I had cropped off a bit at top, to make the comp even more centered

Deep DOF, Rule of Thirds and Stop Action
by snaffles

Comment:
honestly, I can't see any of the three techniques being used here. The field is not in focus at the left side; there's no special point of interest on any third's crossing and the horizon is almost center; some of the blades are motion blurred and "stop action" usually refers to people, animals or objects with rapid movement.
The image itself lacks of color and impact, there are some sensor spots, and finally, it is oversharpened.

Comment:
definitely meets challenge (in addition, it has Deep DOF). You went a little far with sharpening IMO. The border color doesn't help the image

Comment:
the "blur" part is only visible in the seagull and IMO doesn't add to the image
