I really liked this shot but the focus/DOF thing really hurt you. Looked at the outtakes and (IMHO)I'm pretty sure they would have scored very high. Good idea and the shots as a collection are great!

The followers of the religion "The Flying Spaghetti Monster" are sure to see this as a sign and aplomb76 is soon the be sainted. Coincidence ? I think not! LOL!!!

Thank you for the detailed analysis. The crop you did looks great, but like you said the sunlight and shadow on the right are gone. I was torn on this composition and it was taken with 3 or 4 hours before deadline. It is an HDR and while I had many compositions I liked better, this was the only set that had the good light and shadows. The tool configuration is what I hated. I changed it right after this capture but it was too late and the light beam never plowed though again. (I did momentarily consider chopping down a tree)
