Almost midnight... by IreneMComment: The description of you shooting in your kitchen is hilarious and sounds a lot like me. In the house I lived in for four year (until a year and a half ago), I always shot in the kitchen because it had the most room, but the kitchen was on the ground floor and had a giant 3'x5' window that opened onto a busy alley. I provided great entertainment to the people at the bar on the other side of that alley : )
And lovely picture! : ) The detail in the blur is beautiful. |

Fallby KelliComment: Your blacks are tinted pretty far into the blue, which counters the warm tons of the leaves. I can't tell if I like it or not. The blue kinda makes sense since fall is actually quite cold, but it also makes the photo look somehow unnatural. |

Simplicityby karmatComment: I like the idea of this photo, but I wish you had replaced the dull colored leaves with some that still had color. |

October Driveby larryb52Comment: I'm usually a fan of soft focus, but this is a little too soft for my taste. |

firey end to summerby chrispComment: The color, especially in the sky, looks unnaturally oversaturated. Oversaturation also pulls out a lot of detail once the colors start becoming out-of-gamut. |

Indiana Autumn by GolferDDSComment: I wish this wasn't cropped so tight so I could have more context on the scene. A slightly longer shutter speed would have blurred the water, leaving the bulk of the texture in the leaves, which are the topic of the challenge (as opposed to water). |

Autumnal Wreathby BlackboxComment: I'm not sure what the wreath is hanging on. At first, I thought it was a car, in which case I would have wanted to see the car, but now it looks like a vent on a house, which I don't want to see. If it's a vent, maybe you could use a shallower depth of field to blur the background so the lines are texture instead of something that makes the viewer wonder what everything is behind it. |
