I love how the light focuses on the flowers. Did you do that through post-processing or did you find the scene like that? Either way, it reminds me of the style of painting popular in France in the early 1900s.

I love the blue-greens in the background. Nice change from the normal yellow-greens. The blue-greens also seem more whimsical to me, more like the dream you refer to in your title : )

The little details from the hands give the viewer all the information they need, so they don't need to see the faces to understand the scene. That's exactly what you were supposed to do for this challenge. Well done.

The color and the processing fit the subject very well, though I wonder if the processing hast been pushed just a little too far because of the graininess/sharpening that borders on artifacting at this size. There is enough detail from the props between the shoulders and the knees that the viewer isn't wishing to see the face as a way of learning about the subject, which is exactly what you were supposed to do for this challenge.

When hands aren't spread out flat, it's hard to tell how old the hands are. The only real clues here are the title and the fish (which, I admit, I would have missed if I hadn't read the title). Having a brightly colored background, maybe made from the child's shirt, would have helped convey the age of the subject.

I'm curious as to why you decided to cut off the other half of the person instead of giving a bit more space on her other side so she fell on a third line. Either way, the simple background fits the subject very well and helps tie the whole scene together.

I wish the title pulled the whole image together a bit better or that there were some more clues as to the meaning behind the image somewhere. I don't see the connection (or a reason for the contract between) the man and the flowers. I would have also liked to see a shallow depth of field so that the rest of the street scene (which is not crucial to understanding the image) was blurred out. The image is also underexposed for no apparent reason; the flowers are probably white in real life, but they are middle grey in this image.

I can kinda understand the choice of the soft focus since love makes everything seem so much softer and such, but I'm not convinced that the low contrast fits. They look like they (and maybe their love?) are fading away, which I don't think was your intention. The girl's straight-on stance is also too static and unresponsive. I would have liked to see her responding to the man's display of affection. And since this image leans towards minimalism, attention to detail is even more important than ever--her necklace is right in the middle of the image and is the only dark part of the whole image, so the clasp should have been moved to the back of her neck.

Man, I really wish the negative space in the upper right was filled by some giant motorcycle handlebars! Then his arm would have made a nice leading line back to the text too.

Nice take on the challenge. The frame helps explain why the head is cut off, which I think isn't really addressed in a lot of other images in the challenge.
