It's been 10 years since you posted this, and I still think about it every time I see and oil stain on the ground. Great shot!

The color and texture are so beautiful. There's a wonderful softness and fondness here.

You asked for some additional feedback, so I'll leave it here : )

I think the image would have been stronger on its own without the vignette. I can't really put my finger on why, but using a heavy vignette like that seems...amateurish. I know that's a strong word, but I don't mean for it to sound too harsh. A light vignette that almost blends in with the image might have complimented the scene and helped keep the focus on the tree, but I just think the vignette is too overpowering.

I like the fence in the foreground. I think it adds depth. I think I would have also liked a bit more fine sharpening to pull out the detail in the grass.

The tones in this are lovely. The contrast of the white birch against the darker trees and sky reminds me of one of Ansel Adams' images.

This is a very cool looking tree, but the background diminishes its impact. I would have preferred a longer lens that could blur out the background, then some more brighter contrast in the tree trunk to bring out the detail and texture.

The vignette is too abrupt for my taste and disrupts the quaintness of the scenery.

I think a much more interesting picture is in the lower right corner where the layers of trees are all golden and warm.

This looks flat to me. A punch of contrast in the grass, hay, and tree would make this stand out.

The cyan of the shady spots is too saturated for my taste.
