Blue Ribbon! I went through 'em all and this is definately it (of course I haven't picked THE winner yet) but I'm confident this time. Great job, monochrome, sharp, nice tonal range. Superior photo- at least to me.

This photo does the best job of the 'landscape' requirement of the contest, in a real (not forced/contrived) way. This deserves to finish in the top three. Great job lighting BTW. I like the backlight, very effective! Congrats!

I know everyone is busy judging/voting on the other contest but for what it's worth, I thought this deserved at least someone's comments- this is a GREAT shot. The color, the eyes, the framing, everything is superior. Congrats- I have something to shoot for. 10.

Not sure where this will finish, but my guess is in the top 3. I like the shadows and shading and lighting. The palm comes the closest to being blown out but you made it. Great shot.

Superior job on the eyes, nice dreamy quality, slightly out of focus but I think it helps the overall image. I scored you way high. Congrats on a great photo.

I went through all the entries twice before I voted. This is my blue ribbon winner- which is probably the kiss of death (sorry). Great example of how much you can pack into a B&W image, this would have been quite different in color. Nice job!

I don't always (actually seldom) agree with everyone else, but I loved this shot, the perspective, the framing, the B&W, everything is superior.

Smooth and creamy. Great contrast and framing. I'm a sucker for B&W so I loved this one. Hoping for a well deserved high finish on this one.

Nice, nice shot. Great tone and tack sharp. Super use of space and you go from black/black to bright white without blowing anything out. This is my pick for at least a Top 10.
