Overall a very nice shot. There are a couple of things that pop out at me. To me there is too much editing..(if there is such a thing) I like being able to see detail, however, I really think there is too much detail in this.
The reflections are nice and the subject matter is awesome. I also like the amber look of the shot. Keep it up |

Winds of Innovationby Ja-9Comment: Hello from the critique club:
Very difficult challenge to enter. I do not agree with the comment below about not seeing "wind". It is an implied wind with the windmill. Nicely done in my opinion.
Being that this appears to be a fairly old windmill, the antique look of this pic really works together. Infact, my only negative comment (and it's not really negative) I probably would have liked to see less grain.
Happy shooting |

Old Gold Balance Instrumentby clickodakComment: Hello from the critique club
To be quite honest, I have been stumped on how to critique. I always try to inform the photographer of my views to help him/her improve. I feel that I can not do justice to you or your photo so I am going to ask someone else in the critique club to hopefully do a better job than I can.
Happy shooting |

Interesting take on the surrealism challenge. I enjoy the simplistic approach you took with this. The DOF is good and the colors are good. Overall nice shot...Good job |

Abandonedby doctabrezComment: Hello from the critique club....
I kindof see where you were going with this. (the chicken abandoning the eggs) but most people didn't see I and I think it did effect your score drastically. That being said, I have done exactly the same thing. On this site there are a lot of people that want the challenge rules to be obvious in the pic.
Now on to the critique. The overall setup is good. I do like the light shining through the bowl. I also like the condensation on the eggs. To me the condensation with the multi colored eggs with the light shining through the bowl adds interest. On to lighting. The lighting is way too harsh. It makes the white eggs almost glow. I would like to see a similar shot with the lighting dialed down a little bit. Keep up the good work. Happy shooting. |

Krain Corner Gas Station - Enumclaw, WAby Dr.ConfuserComment: Hello from the Critique club..
First of all I enjoyed the pic. This was perfect for this challenge and I think your score reflects this. I think the antique feel of this fits the subject perfectly. To me it appears that the sun was slightly harsh on this day. There are a couple white washed areas that can be slightly distracting. On this shot that is not a big problem for me. The detail (wood grain, bushes, etc.) is also very nice. I think you did a good job with it. Happy shooting. |

NY, NYby hstegComment: Hello from the critique club
Right now (infact, for the past many years) nothing speaks New York like the "Freedom Tower". Its an awesome shot. I love the long exposure here. I would have liked a slightly darker sky however. To me freedom tower looks like it is leaning a little bit...Still not a horrible prob. Except for the sky you have excellent lighting. Try this shot again with either a shorter shutter or later in the evening
Good job. I love it. |

Pushing pollenby gminkComment: Hello from the critique club.
Let me start with what I like about your image.1st of all subject matter. You lucked out and got an excellent subject. Subject can make or break an image. Next I love the vivid colors. That is both good and bad for this image.
Now for the other stuff. I mentioned the vivid colors. The bad aspect of that in this challenge was the lack of purple. I do have to agree with the commenters below that the primary color here is red. I am sure that hurt your score pretty badly. I also think the pollen on the petals is a little distracting.
I do like the picture overall, but maybe not for this challenge. Keep it up. Good job |

Don I've gotta tell you I was shocked when I saw who took this. Definitely not your style. Overall I think you did a good job.
In my opinion for this challenge there is too much pink going on. I am sure that affected your overall score. However I do like the focus and the details that you can see in the flower.
Good job. Keep I up

WOW absolutely stunning capture. Overall I feel that this is a great shot. The image is very crisp and clean looking. It is also a good thing that you did not center the flower. For me it adds more interest.
Keep it up... |
