I like the feel of this photo. the colors and the sense of film grain in it is nice. I like the contrasty effect, but the tree seems to have a touch of softness in it or perhaps its motion from wind? Either way I like the feel of this photo.

This is a nice job of framing and I really like the colors. The perspective is pretty good, however I'd like to see the fence at a bit more of an angle rather then so straight on. Vote a 6.

Shattering Line Drive

I'll take a shot at this. First thing that I notice is that the shot is very busy. My eye wants to continuously jump around and find things to look at. The background really takes away from it. ALthough it cant be helped in this situation. I think that was truly your downfall on this shot. Its not very DPC voter wow factored. ALthough its good timing.

What a great macro shot here. The DOF and backlighting is awesome. The only thing I wish was there was a touch more detail in the shadows. I wonder if just a real small amount of fill flash could have brought that out without killing the almost see through effect around his throat. Very nicely done.

Chapel Reflection

I love the concept of this idea, however I think this shot at night or closer to night and I'd really like to see this in portrait rather then landscape. I'd like to see you take out the side buildings and just key in on the subject and the reflections in the water. Not sure if its possible but a higher vantage point with more straight on would also help. This image has so much potential even though it did really well, I think this has ribbon potential with a few very minor changes.

This is a nice shot with lovely silky water. The colors are beautiful I'd like to visit this place sometime. I wonder though if your kit lens inst holding you back a touch. The photo looks a bit soft and its almost a bit contrasty. A couple of the rocks almost seem to glow at me. I love the shot overall.

The focus and selective desaturation works very well here. The focus on the models eyes and her expression help make the shot. Very nicely done. I'm not sure what else I could add to this.

What a beautiful setup of a moment the couple will share forever. Again great collage here. Nice control of noise and wonderful control of colors and white balance under what looks to be low and tough light conditions. One thing I wish was different was I cant see the knife actually cutting the cake on the photo on the right.
