Aby PDavisComment: Good concept and successful use of DOF, with a pleasing quality of light and b&w treatment as well. When scoring this one, however, I'm put off a bit with the composition which is too tight along the bottom of the right show (as viewed) and the shoestrings haphazardly going out of frame. *6* |

137 Matchesby SquishyBComment: Very creative and well executed. The only critique I have is that the match heads are a bit soft; this image would really pop if they were sharper. Still, a pleasing image. *8* |

Stowawayby Art RoflmaoComment: LOL. With the attention to detail that clearly went into this, I can't believe the label on the box is upside down to the viewer and the box prop visible underneath! ;-) *8* for creativity |

Fishing Match winnerby jblaylockraynerComment: Outstanding technical qualities here with terrific quality of light and superb composition ... this would make a great stock photo! That said, it doesn't readily speak to the theme without a title. *7* (if only because the connection with the theme is missing for me) |

Matching Brush over Combby Tia2QQComment: Well seen and beautifully executed. The "match" part is a bit of a stretch, though the connection is there and the result is an outstanding abstract with great quality of light and a pleasing composition. *8* |

Perfect Flawby MuntzsterComment: Good detail, especially the match head, and a tough exposure to nail. The centered composition would have been better served with a square crop or more creative use of negative space and the flame being out-of-frame hurts this one a bit technically IMO. |

Match made in Heavenby silverscreenComment: Nicely set up and executed ... love how the two roses mimic the wedding bands not only in number but in layout/placement. Well done. *8* |

HOLY SMOKE!by davidus428Comment: Very cool. The negative space between the match and smoke creates an illusion of this firey element coming down from the upper-right toward the burning tip (versus flowing away from it) Fantastic abstracting effect ... look forward to seeing your commentary. *8* |
