Vertigo??????by MWittComment: Ohhh, good one. Great subject, nice job. It would look even better if you cropped this by cutting 2 inches off the top. Then it would be a much stronger effect I think. You should have also titled to the right (a lot) in order to remove the out of focus rock on the left. :) |

In Memory Of...by K-RobComment: It's hard to tell if anything is really in focus. I might have tried a close up of just 3 or 4 head stones. Nice subject anyway. DDOF is not impressive if the distance to your subject is a realitively great distance. |

Hosp Grove Trailby ScottKComment: Kind of boring subject. Don't be afraid to get off the beatin track, there, and look for something else. |

Waiting For The First Pitchby JMSComment: Hard to tell if the sillouettes are in focus. This is a great shot otherwise, awesome sports shot, and great Title. I'd give you 8 if this were the "Sillouette" challenge. :) |

Nice Pairby DonCComment: Opps this is SHALLOW depth of field. LOL, this challenge is for deeeeep dof. Live and learn. Don't forget to use Levels to correct your colors. And Curves (or levels) to get more contrast. |

Your Moveby LtHousLadyComment: I'm sure all the pieces are in focus but, the problem is, you don't get a feel of that because the shot isn't close enough. You should have zoomed in more (or cropped) to give the viewer more sense of the depth. From this perspective, it looks like you are 2 or 3 chessboards away from the chessboard, if that makes sense. |

Circle of Lifeby sherComment: Pretty nice sense of depth. The cross looks a little too far tilted to the left. I might have tried rotating the whole thing to the right to balance it, even if the flower would then be tilted. Should have removed that dead stem in the foreground. I would have also pulled out a pair of sicsors and clipped those tall pieces of grass. OK maybe that's a little too much. :) |

Pomegranate flowersby MrAkamaiComment: Nothing is centered. You should have zoomed in (and centered on) that bizzare "bulb" on the right instead. But make sure you have enough light. |
