The main problem I have with this is that it is too busy - there is too much in the shot competing for attention. If you had been able to keep with the foreground elements and have a plain backdrop I think that would have helped enormously.

The stuffed or dead animal here (I can't make out what it is) really spoils this for me - not just because it's a dead animal but because I can't place what it is or reconcile it's presence with the rest of the shot.

This is potentially a wonderful shot - it's a great subject and good composition. The focus needs to be sharper though to really bring out the textures on the lock and the wood.

Fun snapshot - but will not do well in this challenge for two reasons. Firstly your submission is very small - do try to use the full 640 pixel allowance, it will really help your scores. Secondly this really doesn't qualify as a still life and you will lose points for that also.

I would qualify this wholeheartedly as a landscape image and not a still life. It has a moody feel to it and good composition, but I'm afraid it will suffer on score through not meeting the challenge.

Got to love it. It doesn't fit my conventional view of a still life because of being outdoors and a landscape - but I love it!

I try quite hard to find an angle in a shot that would make me understand how that photographer felt their image would fit the challenge, and here I do see that because of the subject of the photo being the glass ball.

Wonderfully creative, great comp and colours. I hope it does well.
