Intriguing perspective and sort of a clever idea, but I'm not convinced it works like this. We need to see hands in gloves, or feet in boots, I think, to make the connection.

Great shot- this really evokes winter and works so well in b & w .... but... I totally fail to see anything comforting, sorry. Comfort implies warmth, security, nurturing - the complete opposite of winter. Such a shame, this would have got top marks from me in a winter or 'cold' challenge.
