Nice idea. The duck is simply too small in proportion, consider getting as close and as low as possible for a more dramatic photo.

Nice long exposure. But the ducks are lost in this image, a closer shot from a lower angle would be better, even a tight crop of this image would be better.

Nice idea. The image just lacks a clear focus point -- focus on the eyes is usually good, and would probably have made this shot better.

Nice idea, but which one is the one? A different-looking duck for the primary focus would have made the shot, but as it is, focus is the only clue/cue, which probably isn't enough for most viewers. Also consider using spot illumination for more isolation of the one.

Nice idea. A lighter background, even just grass, would help to separate the labs head from the background, and perhaps allow better exposure for the ducks so that they aren't so over-exposed.

Nice capture of action. Unfortunately, it looks like to did too much processing with curves, the solarized look is not an improvement, IMHO. I think that the original with normal color curves would have done better.

Nice idea, good DOF, lighting, overall execution -- looks pretty real! The ladder on the left is somewhat distracting, consider cropping it out more. Love it.
