Fabulous colors and textures in this flower. I love all the shades of purples mixed with the whites in the petals. You captured the details perfectly from the swirl of texture on the petals to the water drops. I do have a critique on this photo and that is the border takes away total viewing pleasure. Let the beauty of the photo stand on it's own. Draw your audience in by showing off this beautiful tulip big & beautiful - don't cage it within a heavy border. |

the shadow of meby AbraComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
The waves of light and the sparkles seem to emanate from the silhouette/shadow. To me it communicates a spiritual or mystical connection to the universe taking place. I like the symbolic nature of the piece. I do have one little critique that I feel could make the capture even more visually appealing. I wish the shadow had deeper true black tones on the top half of the figure as that there are blue tones that are invading into the shadow itself and detracting from the blue (and yellow) waves of light. |

Prehystericalby scalvertComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
LOL. More like hysterical with OMG laughter:-) Great capture of the moment! I can hear the angry squawk of this bird. I feel like he is coming straight for me and as I'm running away I'm laughing hysterically because I cannot banish the comical look of that open mouth squawk. |

She has such a friendly face that you can't help but smile back. Love the colors and assortment of the textiles behind her - methinks she is a merchant selling her woven goods. Lighting is fabulous and shows off all the great details of this woman and her wares. This is a photo I would expect to see in National Geographic next to an article about Chichicastenango. |

I can't help but look at these adorable puppies and want to pet them. They are so cute and those blue eyes are so lovely. Love the light and the poses of these pups in the baskets and boxes. But it is the puppy in the front basket with the raised ear that keeps drawing my attention to him. He looks like he just cocked his ear to listen to something that is stage right. Excellent pet portrait work on this one. |

Evening's Lightby dafletchrComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Very beautiful love the sunset colors of the sky. The action of the waves as they smash against the rocks draws my eye to the lone birds that take a rest before they fly off for the evenings rest. Very captivating scene, I can hear the crash of the ocean as I just sit and watch. |

The Enchanted Place by Alex_PetriniComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Absolutely breathtaking capture. The glass-like water leads like a trail up to the castle in the distance. The mist and the gorgeous light that falls upon the castle does paint the scene in a enchanting light - one that captivated the audience when we stop to 'visit'. |

The Moon in Juneby MelonMusketeerComment: Now that really shows off how 'big' the supermoon looks:-) Love the wispy clouds around the moon on this Waddy...hmmm- Oh. You don't happen to have another shot where the bottom of the moon is 'resting' on the telephone lines? Then it would take on the appearance of ready to roll down the wire:-) |

A Tribute to Salvador Dalì by Alex_PetriniComment: Congrats on the Blue! Very well done tribute to Dali's surrealist paintings! I like the stream of free floating thoughts that we can see behind the face. What they mean will rest with each individual's interpretation. To me, those free form shapes and lines are perhaps representative of the creative thought process:-) |
