What a cool place to photograph! Love the lines that ebb and flow in this composition. While there is some pink in this I think it gets a bit lost in orange, white and yellow hues that are more dominant in the photo. Aside from that this is a fantastic photo - something like this would do smashingly well in a lines challenge:-).

Love the motion of the dress and the hair. Perspective from looking down from above is great. The icing on the cake is the wonderful smile and sparkle in her eyes because it just speaks 'Joy'.

Great tones, lighting, and color on this portrait. I like the rose petal lips for it is definitely something different. Though I don't think silence with this - it makes me think of "speak softly".

What a stunning portrait of this young football player - the lighting the composition and the details are all top notch work! I think it might fair better in this color challenge if it was cropped closer as just a head shot of this little boy. That closer crop would have the pink color more prominent because the blue overpowers/overshadows the pink in the shot - this would do fabulous in a blue challenge:-). Again top notch work.

Well I nearly choked on my laughter when this popped up next on the vote screen. LOL - I think we can tell what this person is thinking:-) I like the humor that you injected in your Pink entry.

Love the pop of the pinks off the sky blue backdrop. The composition is colorful, pretty, and nicely detailed.

Ha! I wondered if I should have done Moffet & Gatiss's take - A Study in Pink for this. Nice to see a nod to Sherlock in the challenge:-) I do like the person studying the art piece on the wall - the art piece makes me think of the rooms/boxes we occupy or enclose ourselves in. Are they truly rosy or is that just how one perceives it as such.

Congrats on the red Alice! I guess this points to the human need to label everything;-) Am I imagining it or did I see this same location but different angle many moons ago?

A great many of your entries on heavy on visual symbolism and/or meanings. The muse is no longer dancing like in the original. Instead, she is breaking free from the framed constraints the artist may or may not have placed on her. Magritte himself has broken the bonds of being 'boxed' in a 4 cornered room - the shape of his being acts as a door or perhaps shows the path to the unrestricted freedom of the open and wild blue yonder of the sky outside. The man with the bowler hat and the apple are the most recognized elements in Magritte's work. Except the apple is green while in both original and the redux it is red. Red for passion, energy, excitement, love, blood and all things 'intense'. Here I think it symbolizes Magritte's passion for creative expression and breaking free of constraints. Well done.
