Blackberry Blossumsby glad2badadComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Very lovely and delicate blossoms. Love the bokeh backdrop that adorns the composition acting like dainty 'snowflakes'. I think the composition could be even stronger if you zoomed in (maybe 30% more) to bring your audience just a little bit closer so that the floral branch of the main focus *almost* fills the frame. I say almost because the backdrop really compliments the blossoms. |

Summer Quickly Approaches (Ode to Ursula)by CuttoothComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Love the bold pop of vibrant oranges and golds of these flowers. Very nice details in the texture of the petals of the main flower. Composition is strong bringing us close to appreciate the details of the flower as well as the color that really draws the eye in. Very lovely work. |

The Amen of Nature is Always a Flower by illini75Comment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Really nice details showcasing the texture of the petals, the back of the green stalk, and the waterdrops. I like how you zoomed in close to really show your audience all those lovely details right down the variation of pale red/orange hues in the petals. Lighting is spot on too. Nicely done. |

Nice light, lovely colors that pop off the darker backdrop, and great textural details seen in these two flowers. Love how the bokeh backdrop both compliments the flowers and shows them off in their natural surroundings. My only suggestion is to mayhap either open up the shutter a bit more or lower the shutter speed to allow a little more light to brighten up the scene. It is lovely but could still use just a touch of brightness to make them pop even more. |

Great pop of red hues of the tulips off the bokeh backdrop. I like the details in the tulip in the foreground. Lighting is superb in how it illuminates the petals of the main flower and towards the back. Composition framing is also wonderful in that my eye is instantly captured by the flower in the foreground and then travels in a leading line to each one behind it. Nice work! |

Wow, you did a fantastic job on light painting these flowers with the minimal ruleset! Love the light play that illuminates the sides of the glass vase and makes those sunflowers glow. I wonder what this looks like in color? |

You have some very nice detail on the rose - most specifically I can see great texture on the petals. This is a good shot but there are a few things that can boast it into the high above average shot. First off it is just a touch too dark. Most likely you want the backdrop to stay a solid black so the white rose can really pop off the black. The white/cream rose needs just a punch more of vibrant contrast/brightness in the tones. You could either put a 'spotlight' on just the white rose and/or move the black backdrop further away from subject so the light doesn't fall on it to illuminate it.I also think the composition would be even stronger if you zoomed in closer to have your subject fill the frame bringing your audience closer to view all the lovely details. As it is now I think that there is a little too much negative space at the top of the composition. |

Very pretty flower where the whites and reds of the delicate petals really pop off the backdrop. Lighting is fantastic. Negative space is good sometimes, but I can't help but wonder if the composition would be even more stronger if it was done on the vertical allowing your subject to fully fill the frame and having the stem act as a strong leading line coming out of the bottom left corner at a diagonal. |

Lovely take on bringing the beauty of the outside, inside. The light is also lovely for it illuminates the red roses and creates and interesting pattern on the wall behind. I like the color, but I also like the light and shapes from the glass vase to the table and window shade shadow that bring a comfortable home feel to this simple but elegant floral still life. |

Love the burst of purple that pops off of the orange backdrop. Nice complimentary light that illuminates the petals of the flower. Nicely done. |
