I like how this is very different from the rest of the entries. The mood of the shot deals with depression and feelings of isolation. The subject of the shot is in a very dark place removed from the outside world. He chooses to look out the window and stay in the comfort of his 4 walls rather than venture outside into the light. Very moody piece and well done. My only critique is that I think it would be even stronger if you cropped out a little more of the negative space at the top and to the right so that your main subject and his visible surroundings fill the frame more.

Doctor!!! They are here! Heh, was not expecting to see a Dalek in the challenge. One definitely cannot miss that shape even in silhouette:-) Only critique are that I wish the silhouette was deeper as that some details can still be made out.

I am too - considering that whimsy/humor photographed well tends to do really well. My guess is that a chunk found it more bizarre than a well done shot with humor.

I like the pairing of the ol' cowboy with the old bench. Both have weathered the times and time has left it's mark on both of them. The cowboy looks tired and with the faraway look seems to be reminiscing about the past. The bench, though old and worn, offers him a place to sit and take comfort. Nicely presented - plus for using B&W so your audience can appreciate the details of the shot.

Great find! Love how the lines of the bench stretch off into the horizon. They act as leading lines that the eye follows to observe the span of the bridge above moving off in the same direction off to the horizon. The lines of the bench and the bridge compliment one another. B&W was a good choice for it elevates the eyes attention to the lines of the composition without competition of color that may detract attention away.

Great colors and clarity. Nice find that the sheep was taking shelter under the bench either that - or it is hiding from the big, bad wolf:-) Composition is great with the bench and the sheep taking center stage. The bench offers shelter to this lone sheep. It has seen much given the weathered texture on it's wooden surface.

I like the story idea and the angle of the bench adds visual interest. I think you could have gotten at a lower angle that the bench filled the frame. The bench slates would still be going at a diagonal like you have the beginnings here but the leading lines would be stronger because it would fill the frame and lead the eye directly to the left behind floral bouquet. I think it would be better visually if the flowers were in sharp focus like that of the bench. Hmmm, I wonder it the story would have an even stronger emotional impact if the flowers were wilted showing the passage of time - he waited a long time but she never came.

Great long exposure shot to tell an interesting story of what this bench might have seen! I like how you chose to tell a story that is an added bonus to the just a shot of a park bench at night. The apparition sits in anguish on this lone bench - what ails him is/was a mystery. It would have been even more spooky if no shadow was cast but one has to work with what one has and if the park lights sit where they are to cast the light and shadows very little can be done.

Great B&W tones and good details- very interesting bench. It looks very uncomfortable to lie down on though given the cramped posture of the gent trying to chillax:-)

Fantastic angle that really showcases the details and lines of this bench! Interesting quote stamped on the surface - makes one stop and look. Nicely done.
