Greed

Yes, greed can indeed be horrific - but it is the effect of what it does to others, the wake of destruction left behind by those who have money and use it destructively that is what is most horrible. The story of Midas for example- one feels more sorry for those who he 'hurt' (turning his daughter to gold for example) rather than Midas himself. The individual can be misguided by greed - but I feel the true horror lies more in the damage an individual with money and power can do to the community at large. While this piece is top notch work, I feel that this piece is a bit 'incomplete'. You have effectively captured the individual who covets money but I feel it is lacking the other half of what makes greed so horrible - a visual showing the greedy individual willing to step on and push whomever and whatever gets in their way would have made this a 'complete picture'. It is the damage to people and the environment that a greedy individual can and does leave in their wake that shows the horror of what man can do.

Another great shot of all the color and festive spirit of the people in this parade. There is so much to look at from the great expressions on each face to the details of the costumes and musical instruments. I greatly enjoyed looking at your series - even though it happened awhile ago your photos place me there so I can delight in all the festivities.

The costumes and color of everyone in this parade is just fantastic! Great capture of the leader as he is glancing our way - I feel he has made eye contact with me as he dances the routine. Love all the color, detail, and sights you captured in this one.

Love the colors! This is a fun photo - love how he is facing the camera and you caught him singing. The colorful sights and sounds of the this festive parade can always be revisited in your photos...going off to look at the rest. Great captures.

Sheer and simple adorable. The joy of the sunshine, flowers, and a smile - she is a beautiful little girl. It makes me think of my girls when they were little - time passes so quickly.

Yeah, I'll say:-) - they birds of prey are even more difficult to capture on camera with sharp detail. Nice details and close-up of this beautiful hawk.

What a cute and great moment to capture! That is one tired bear! I like that what you did with the backdrop because of course now one thinks of the Coca-cola polar bears such that the adorable meter now shoots up higher:-)

A good effort, but I think that there is a little too much that it borders on campy. Not that campy is bad, but I feel it takes away from the horror of the composition. Just my two cents. If you are going for more horror than camp, I think less is more. Just a suggestion: perhaps just a portion of the tub is visible with most of the shower curtain concealing what lies beyond. What is visible is a section of the white rim of the tub with bloody water and some blood stains on the tub. The profile of the rubber duck can be seen as a shadow on the curtain. The beak full of sharp teeth would be the only thing visible peeking out from the curtain.

If spiders are not frightening enough to those who have an extreme fear of them then this spider with the piercing cat eyes that stare straight at you tips the balance into sheer terror. I don't have a fear of spiders but if one like this suddenly appeared in front of my eyes I would jump back and scream in fright.
