Fantastic presentation of this pomegranate! Break it open to find the tasty treat inside. Arrangement of the subject, lighting and juicy details complete with some seeds on a spoon invite the viewer to take a taste. Very well done food photoraphy! |

Pollenby hajekaComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Love the bold red hues on the macro of this flower. Great details on the inner pistel with the white coating of pollen that rests on it. |

Inside The MATRIXby DarkpixelComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Inside the Matrix there is the red pill or the blue pill. One is the way out and the other is to stay blissfully unaware of reality. I really like how you captured the glowing green data streams and the attention to detail with nods to the movie. I do have one tiny suggestion - I think the main subject needed just a tad more light on his jacket and on his arms as that his lower torso and arms are underexposed fading into the dark. |

Guild in the Lilyby skewsmeComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Absolutely tack sharp details on the ants venturing down into the lily. The detail is stunning with all the color and sharp focus on the ants including the legs and antennae. The burst of color of orange and yellow hues also makes this photo visually pop. This is a wonderful macro view peering inside the insect world! |

fun inside the flumeby primabarbaraComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
A view from inside a water tube - how awesome! Not a view many get to see this as an observer looking in, so kudos to you on getting this shot! The sense of fun and enjoyment is written clearly on the man's smiling face as they are rocketing down the water tube. I would have loved to have seen the expressions on both of their faces but it still successfully captures the sense of fast moving fun at the water park from a unique perspective. |

"it's bigger on the inside!"by HoghemaruComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
As a Doctor Who fan I have to ask - would you like a jellybaby? ;-) Can't miss Tom Baker's Doctor with that distinctive scarf standing in front of the Tardis. As a fan of the show I understand the running line and joke of "it's bigger on the inside' but I doubt many others do. I think it might have helped to have the inside of the Tardis lit up to show the control room inside. I see that the door is slightly ajar...the control room might not be pictured inside so maybe printing it and then curling it a bit so that there is an appearance of dimension when you insert it in as the interior. Lighting, details, and composition are ....fantastic! ;-P |

Past Travels Rememberedby illini75Comment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Love the lighting that puts the spotlight on revisiting memories by rediscovering things packed away in an old trunk. Unpacking memories is the idea that is strongly projected. There are vintage antique items that are perfectly arranged/placed within this still life composition. Traveling is represented by the camera, map, guide book and typewriter - all elements to document travel by writing and taking photographs while the map and guide book takes one to the destination. The element of time is represented in the open pocketwatch. Lighting and details are all fantastic! Well done - I love this look inside of the life of a travel writer or perhaps just an adventurer. |

Traffickedby mefnjComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Very much meets the challenge and rather disturbing given the subject matter is human slavery. That aside - the viewer is given and 'inside' look at the horror of being imprisoned. No freedom, we are boxed in. One hand reaches out to be free - reaching for the light that comes from three holes in the side panel. Darkness and light are features in this composition. The B&W is perfect for this photo because it highlights the play of light and dark both in theme and tone. Great lighting and details too. |

Blue Polistyrene Armyby kasabaComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Now this is not a sight you see everyday! Unique and strange but very interesting to look at. Composition is great for you give the viewer a close up view of some of these polistyrene heads with the stand out for visual interest one had a white helmet. Details and color are fantastic - I can see all the wear and tear and 'pores' on these styrofoam model heads. The light and shadows are great too with my only critique being I wish the picture was a little brighter overall. |

Bird on Lupinusby otto22Comment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Fantastic capture of this bird in a field of blue flowers! Lighting, color, and detail are pretty spot on. I do have one suggestion on how to further strengthen the composition. The flowers in the forefront that are hazy blurred due to depth of field can be cropped out. That hazy blur in the forefront of the frame tends to distract from the overall scene. Cropping as much as you can out will keep the focus on the bird at rest in the field of Lupinus. |
