Here Comes the Sunby neenee1999Comment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Wonderful natural light coming in to illuminate this smiling girl's face as she peers out the rain covered window. Love the emotion and mood captured here for she is happy that the sun and perhaps even some blue sky has come out because it has been a rainy day. No more stuck inside, she is happy about the opportunity to go out and play. Well captured and presented! |

The mood is scary and eerie. To come across a car in the woods (it appears to be so for I see trees reflected on the hood) with the interior glowing orange-red and a person with their hands pressed upon the windshield - it just makes the hair stand up on the back of one's neck. You definitely captured the mood of danger and scary in this photo! My one small suggestion on how to improve on the photo is to frame it so the whole front of the car is in the frame (part of it is cropped off on the left side such that the symmetry doesn't match up with the right side) |

Go away!by WaitingsilenceComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
The poor cat hiding inside the wood pile looks sooo scared! The emotional response is instant - I feel moved to either gain this kitty's trust or move away and give him/her their space. So the photo can and does connect with the viewer. On other notes, the lighting, composition, and focus and detail are all superb. |

The Imposterby APComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
A fun and colorful composition showing the viewer the inside of cut fruit (and vegetables- red onion) in all shapes and sizes. It is a tasty variety of patterns and bursts of color. There are strawberries, grapefruit, avocado, bananas, lime, lemon, cantalope squash, tomato, pear and a nice, juicy pinea....??? Yup, a quick glance and the brain fools you into thinking one sees the inside of a pineapple but no! It is a watermelon masquerading as a pineapple. Clever twist to hide it in plain sight among all the other foods. |

Inside a violinby sarampoComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Love the light illuminating the interior of this instrument. The composition very definitely gives the viewer a unique view on the inside!! The light streaming through the "S" shaped holes has an eerie quality to it with the strange swirl like smoke adding visual interest. I do have one suggestion on how to make the composition even stronger in it's presentation. If the title was not there to give the location I think it might be a bit challenging to figure it out. My suggestion is if you could either take it from a little lower angle so those 'S" shaped cut-outs are more visible or if you could angle the light streaming into those cut-outs such that the light pattern on the 'floor' clearly shows the "S" shape than it would be easier to deduce that this is the interior of a violin. |

I hope I'm not out of jelly...by vawendyComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
A very unique perspective of being inside looking out! Inside the peanut butter jar the viewer gets a view of the person peering in as they dip their knife in to get the last scoops of peanut butter to make that perfect sandwich. Color, clarity, detail and lighting are all fantastic - well done! |

on the moveby tvsometimeComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Wonderful architectural design in the interior of this building. Not just a study of shapes and patterns in the architecture, but the capture in the daily life that strolls these floors. Within the confines of this building is a slice of life as the people on the move attend to their their daily schedules. |

Cavemanby otto22Comment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
I guess it is because of the blanket, beard and the surrounding environment my first thought was that of a druid of old taking shelter in a cave by the loch. Love this picturesque take on the challenge. Beautiful scenery here at the mouth of the cave! Indeed looks like a scenic place to take shelter for the night. It is chilly by the looks of things so that nice warm spot by the fire is a great place to be. The man seems to be gazing off in the distance either enjoying the view or thinking or both. |

The Outside is Coming In by ecmguyComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Wonderful photo showing the man vs. nature conflict! Given the height of the soil, Nature is slowly reclaiming her space. The patterns on the sand are like waves washing in as it sweeps into the interior of the building. Great light, wonderful detail and composition! |

Inside the linesby NeatComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
I love this composition's play of 'color inside the lines'! Definitely a different and interesting take on 'inside'. The choice to make this B&W was a good one for it really focuses on the subject matter, the play of contrasts and shapes & patterns. A young child rides her/his scooter on the dark lines of this patterned floor. Unknown if this is a play area or outside a building with a patterned patio, but the child is already 'staying inside or on the lines'. Good eye to spot this photo opportunity! |
